Modern consumer behavior is steering a lot of consumer trends toward frictionless buying methods — things like voice ordering on Alexa, Amazon Dash buttons, and order ahead apps for Starbucks. We are delegating everything to technology, and this idea focused on ordering cocktails before you even got to the bar. They needed a name, brand identity, and an app design to get to the first stage of investor funding.

Introducing MEA, your cocktail concierge. I created the idea based on the phrase commonly uttered to your friend or colleague “Order me a drink” before you get to your favorite bar. Now you don’t have to fight your way to the crowded front of the bar, or wait for the back log of orders to be expedited before you get your order. You simply ask MEA, a friendly character created to put the order in on your behalf.

I worked with developers and business partners entrenched in the restaurant/bar industry to develop a simple P2P app available for a consumer and the owner/operator. Each version of the app handled the account setup, payment method, map tracking, location suggestion, certificate of purchase and confirmation of transaction to ensure a smooth cocktail order every time.
