New York Yankees Sponsorship
Johnnie Walker has long been a corporate sponsor of the New York Yankees. From OOH, to advertising, to a complete takeover of Pinstripe Alley, Yankee stadium’s sport bar, their partnership has been as strong as their awards and championships respectively. This was different. We had the opportunity to bring the two brands together for the reopening of Yankee stadium after a $2.4B remodel and renovation. So, a renovation of the iconic Striding Man who usually walked along a thin yellow line, was necessary for this launch — he was to walk along a yellow ribbon being cut for the reopening. OOH, print advertising, and subway signage was created to announce this partnership. To help drive awareness in-store we were asked to created packaging that showed the partnership in a never-before co-branded Johnnie Walker Black Label box replete with pinstripes and the Yankees logo.
