Evarito’s
Mexican Bar & Restaurant ↗
Creating a successful restaurant brand from the ground up requires research, personal and passionate considerations of the owner, and a lot of sipping tequila. My client came to me with a vision of opening the most amazing Mexican restaurant with a one-and-only rooftop bar located in South Norwalk. He needed a name, brand identity, and design.
Restaurants also need a visual “name” for patrons to remember them, so after collaborating to name the new spot after the owner’s son, I researched indigenous animals to Mexico. The symbol of the new spot would be the grey fox, the perfect metaphor for stylish, smart, and clever guests of Evarito’s as well as the perfect description of his son, Everett.
Art With Dual Purpose
One of the first projects after the logo development was creating something to cover the front doors during construction. The restaurant concept was wood-fire grilled Mexican food so I created the fox logo in fire wood for two frames to hang. It was taken down for opening and hung as authentic artwork in the main dining room.
